In the first half of 2024, more than a thousand retail outlets were opened in Belarus — today there are 129.5 thousand of them. 54.4 thousand of them are stores. Their number has increased by 646 units. Such data was announced by Deputy Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Nina Yemelyanova at the international forum "Trade Dialogue", writes " Belarus Today ".
The deputy minister also reported that there are 5 thousand retail entities operating in the country in a network format. They own 35 thousand stores, which is approximately 64% of the total number of stores in the country.
At the beginning of 2024, the country's 13 largest retail chains concentrated 44% of grocery stores and 70.6% of retail space.
