Shein and Temu: the online store of Chinese platforms may be more expensive

Over the last five years, Coolshop has almost tripled its revenues – from PLN 357.2 million in 2019 to almost PLN 1 billion in 2023. At the same time, it also increased its equity capital by over 3.5 times, the value of which in the last reached PLN 106 million in the financial year.

Over the past five years, the company has invested PLN 70 million in real estate and equipment, of which PLN 30 million was invested last year alone. In addition to the online store, the brand also operates stationary stores in some countries, including: in Norway and Sweden.

Coolshop is part of the Cool Group

The Coolshop online store, founded in Denmark in 2002 in a garage by brothers Mark and Mike Nielsen, fascinated by new technologies, is part of the Cool Group, which brings together 18 companies and organizations and 800 employees from 8 industries, operating in 14 countries.

The leading online store from Scandinavia

Currently, Coolshop is one of the leaders of the Scandinavian e-commerce market and is constantly developing dynamically. It operates in 9 markets covering ⅓ of Europe, serving 2 million regular customers. Poland will soon join its areas of activity, and consumers from the Vistula River will be able to choose from almost 45,000 products on coolshop.pl. products without a subscription, i.e. the need to pay a subscription to obtain discounts or access to additional services.

The Polish branch of Coolshop, together with the local team, is run by Andrzej Rzym. Previously, for many years he was associated with the Danish company Dangaard Group, where he successfully built the company's team in Poland and managed the development of foreign sales, being responsible for customer relations around the world.

Vision combined with social responsibility

– We want to constantly develop, which is why we are very happy to open our branch in Poland and to be able to provide customers with products of the largest brands, as well as Scandinavian companies distinguished by their commitment to simplicity, usability and unique design. We hope that Polish consumers will appreciate us – says Mark Nielsen, president and co-founder of Coolshop and Cool Group – Coolshop is the basis of our business and we are extremely proud of being part of a group of many great companies. However, business, and therefore money, only becomes valuable when you spend it on others. Therefore, it is also worth mentioning our CoolUnite foundation, which helps sick and defenseless children – he adds.

The CoolUnite Foundation runs a special charity fund and supports children suffering from diseases, including: in hospices and recreation centers for sick children, providing them with better experiences and contributing to the improvement of their everyday lives. It cooperates with other aid organizations, public authorities and companies that have the same goal. Moreover, since 2010, Cool Group has been organizing the Cool Car Race, in which unique sports cars take part, and the profit from participants' contributions is entirely allocated to CoolUnite. The record amount collected during one edition was almost PLN 1.5 million.
