On what terms will you receive a subsidy for photovoltaics from Moje Prąd 6.0?

Na jakich zasadach sięgniesz po dotację na fotowoltaikę z Mój Prąd 6.0?
  • The budget of the sixth edition of the "My Current" program is up to PLN 400 million, financing comes from the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, Environment (FEnIKS) program.
  • The call for applications will be conducted from September 2 to December 20, 2024, or until funds are exhausted.
  • For photovoltaic micro-installations submitted for connection to the power grid from August 1, 2024, it will be mandatory to install an energy storage facility.
  • The expenditure eligibility period starts on January 1, 2021.
  • A necessary condition to benefit from funding is settlement in the net-billing system.

In five editions of the "My Current" program, a total of PLN 2.96 billion was allocated to co-finance prosumer investments. The National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management has already paid out over PLN 2.6 billion for 526,000 people. prosumers.

Also in the "Clean Air" program, in addition to the thermal modernization of a residential house and replacing the heat source, it is possible to obtain subsidies for the installation of PV panels. Almost 60,000 people have already taken advantage of this opportunity. beneficiaries.

The next edition of Moje Prąd will start on September 2, 2024. What is the budget amount and who will be able to apply for funding?

– The “My Electricity 6.0” program includes PLN 400 million for home photovoltaic installations, but also for energy and heat storage facilities. The launch of the next edition of this program is the ministry's response to the continuing interest in its own energy source. This is another step on the way to decarbonization and development of prosumer energy in Poland, said Paulina Hennig-Kloska, Minister of Climate and Environment.

The amount of subsidy and which photovoltaic installations are covered by the Moje Prąd 6.0 program?

Financing for a photovoltaic micro-installation, electricity storage and heat storage will cover up to 50%. eligible investment costs.

Grant maximum PLN 6,000. PLN for photovoltaic micro-installations without additional scope of investment will be paid only for installations connected to the power grid until July 31, 2024.

Financing for photovoltaic micro-installations will amount to PLN 7,000. PLN in the case of investments also in energy storage. To obtain funding for a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 2 kW to 20 kW connected to the power grid from August 1, 2024, it will also be necessary to invest in an electricity and/or heat storage facility.

Various devices that qualify for a photovoltaic micro-installation may be eligible for funding, including: roof coverings with a photovoltaic function, shelters and carports containing PV cells, photovoltaic balcony sets. All photovoltaic installations submitted for funding must be connected to the power grid.

What energy storage facilities will be co-financed from Moje Prąd 6.0?

Co-financing for a thermal energy storage facility with a minimum capacity of 20 dm3 will amount to up to PLN 5,000. zloty. The subsidy for the electricity storage will amount to PLN 16,000. zloty.

The capacity of the energy storage submitted for co-financing should be at least 2 kWh with the minimum installed power of the PV installation specified in the program (i.e. 2 kW).

Indicating the selection of device parameters is intended to emphasize the issue of storing the electricity produced by prosumers and using it as much as possible at the place of its production. The selection of electricity storage parameters should take into account the power of the installed PV installation and the possibility of using the stored energy for own needs. The size of energy storage is determined by capacity. Energy storage is most often available in capacities ranging from 2.5 kWh to 13 kWh, and the larger the capacity, the lower the cost of one kilowatt hour (kWh) of capacity. The next important parameter of an energy storage device, after capacity, is its power. If the energy storage has a large capacity but low power, it will supply energy to the devices indicated by the prosumer for a long time. Then only few devices will be able to be powered by it. All applications submitted for funding under the program are checked individually, so the conversion rates indicated in the program are treated as a recommendation and are not "obligatory" – explains Anna Trudzik, director of the Prosumer Energy Department of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management.

The power of all renewable energy installations owned by the prosumer, including a photovoltaic micro-installation and energy storage, cannot exceed a total of 50 kW.
