Responding to demand and changing customer habits, Omniva now offers the ability to send parcels from its parcel terminals to 237 countries around the world. Omniva data shows that the demand for international parcels is still growing and both businesses and individuals are willing to use this opportunity – Recently, 16% of Latvian residents have sent parcels abroad. Most often we are talking about clothing, accessories, cosmetics and goods that do not deteriorate. Most of the parcels go to Germany, the USA and Finland. "Previously, people could only send parcels outside the Baltic countries from post offices or using expensive courier services. Now we have found a way to provide this service using parcel machines. Thus, international parcel services are becoming increasingly accessible to both businesses and for private individuals,” says Gusts Muzykants, member of the board and chief commercial director of Omniva Grupa. E-commerce volumes have grown in the Baltics, and the number of businesses with customers located in Europe or beyond continues to grow. Companies often use global e-commerce platforms as sales channels – Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Vinted, etc. According to Muzykants, this year Omniva plans to invest about three million euros in the development of self-service platforms and other digital solutions. To send an international parcel, it must first be registered on the self-service platform mana.omniva.lv and then sent via a parcel machine.
