The United Credit Bureau (UCB) summed up the results of car loans to Russians from January to June 2024. It turned out that in the first half of 2024, Russians issued 598.88 thousand car loans in the amount of 909.30 billion rubles.

Compared to the first half of 2023, the growth in issuance volumes was 83%, and in quantities – 62%. From January to June last year, 368.90 thousand car loans were issued for a total amount of 496.36 billion rubles.
In the second quarter of this year, 318.73 thousand car loans were issued for 488.28 billion rubles. Compared to the second quarter of last year, issue volumes increased by 70% and quantity by 56%. In the II quarter In 2023, 204.38 thousand car loans were issued for 287.57 billion rubles.
In June, 106.57 thousand car loans were issued for 168.42 billion rubles. On an annual basis, loan issuance volumes increased by 66%, and the number – by 50%. The list of top 5 regions in terms of car loan issuance volumes in June included: Moscow – 7.66 thousand car loans worth 15.66 billion rubles, Moscow region. – 7.55 thousand loans for 13.89 billion rubles, St. Petersburg – 5.15 thousand loans for 9.18 billion rubles, Krasnodar Territory – 4.43 thousand loans for 7.30 billion rubles. and Tatarstan – 4.68 thousand loans worth 7.10 billion rubles.
In most regions of the Russian Federation in June, compared to the results of May, the pace of car lending decreased. The exception was only a few constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Among them, a significant increase in car loans is noted in the Magadan region, where the number of issues increased by 28%, volumes by 116%; Yamalo-Nenets OA: quantity +24%, volumes +38%; and rep. Komi: quantity +13%, volumes +19%.
