The first half of this year has ended. As it turned out, none of the main Wall Street analysts expected that one of the main indices of the US stock market would be so high on July 1st.
One of the main indices of the American stock market, the so-called broad S&P500, ended the first half of the year with a rise of more than ten percent.
At the same time, the level of 5,460 points reached by the mentioned index at the end of this half year exceeded the expectations of all major analysts' forecasts at the end of the year.
At the beginning of this year, the biggest optimists expected the maximum level of 5400 points of the S&P500 index at the end of 2024. The overall average of Wall Street analysts' forecasts was 4,861 points.
It is true, however, it should be noted that we are talking about the index value forecasts for the end of this year, and the whole second half of the year is still ahead of us. So the situation can still change drastically.
