End of the 26-day vacation limit. Revolution in Polish companies
According to the regulations, the amount of vacation leave to which employees are entitled during the calendar year is 20 bub 26 days, depending on seniority.
- 20 days -if you have worked for less than 10 years,
- 26 days -if you have worked for at least 10 years
However, employees are increasingly moving away from the limit to which companies are obliged by regulations in favor of longer paid vacations. It’s a benefit they are tempting employees with.
The topic of unlimited leave is analyzed by PulsHR citing data from the No Fluff Jobs report. The portal notes that although demand for flexible leave is high, not everyone is convinced by the concept.
– 60% of Polish employees show interest in such a solution, while 33% have a neutral attitude to the idea. In contrast, only 6 percent are not interested in such a system at all, the service points out.
It also notes that employers are not necessarily against the idea of unlimited vacation days. 39 percent of them have a neutral attitude toward such a concept, and slightly fewer (37 percent) are positive. Nearly a quarter (23 percent) think it is a bad idea.
At the same time, there are already companies in Poland that offer unlimited vacation time. An example would be companies such as SYZYGY, Spicy Mobile or Traffit and Bitpanda, which have decided to introduce this form of vacation. Interestingly, at these companies, employees on average enjoy 35 days off per year.
