In the first half of the year, the Latvian national airline airBaltic has set new records, but is still unable to operate profitably. This was admitted by the airline's management during a call with investors on Wednesday. Six planes are grounded due to a lack of engines. At the same time, negotiations with a strategic investor and progress towards an initial public offering (IPO) are ongoing. However, the growth in revenue did not help the company avoid losses. In the first half of the year, they amounted to EUR 88.8 million. The company explained what these are related to, as well as how negotiations with the investor are progressing.
