Let us recall: the decision to close the brewery, which had been operating since the 1970s, was controlled by the Żywiec Group, a subsidiary of the Heineken Group. In February last year, the group announced a reorganization, which resulted in the decision to close the Leżajsk brewery. Initially, there were several options to save production at the plant (including purchase by the “Żabka” chain of stores), but ultimately the last batch of beer was brewed at the brewery at the end of August last year.
