In Carrefour’s new concepts, customers will find beverages imitating popular alcohols, such, as: whisky, gin, rum, tequila, liquor and aperitify, prepared drinks, a also rich selection of wines traditional and music. These products enable the creation of creative non-alcoholic cocktails, which taste less than their alcoholic substitutes. Carrefour guarantees that each its super- and hypermarket will have a constant offer of over 50 different alcohol-free products, a selected hypermarkets will expand this assortment even to over 70 items.
– the marked increase in interest in non-alcoholic products in the alcoholic segment indicates the growing demand for consumers for alternative options, motivated by concern for health and interest in new taste experiences. In response to these trends, we decided to give non-alcoholic products status as a distinctive category. This means that we will develop this concept by introducing into the offer new products and increase promotional activities in this area, to further build the image of the network with the widest choice in the market – says Piotr Lubiewa-Wieleżyński, Director Division Development Formats and Concepts Commerce in Carrefour Poland.
Carrefour was one of the first retail chains, which promoted new trends, offered in Poland beer zero, and then, already in 2016 year, expanded its assortment by a selection of non-alcoholic wines. Since that time, the whole so-called shelf “zero percent” systematically expanded is in this .network stores.
Social awareness and responsibility
A new product line, which is a response to the dynamic growing trend “NoLo” (from the words “No Alcohol, Low Alcohol”), is gaining popularity both in Poland and across the world. More and more people, especially of the younger generations, are deciding to reduce or to completely avoid the consumption of alcohol.
Products 0% give the opportunity to celebrate and enjoy preventing the negative effects of alcohol consumption. The initiative inscribes into the wide context of social pursuit to promote healthy lifestyle and responsible consumption.

Carrefour Poland is also expanding its offer of products of Culinary World. For the Chinese New Year, the network has expanded its assortment of original ingredients and dishes of Asian cuisine to over 600 products. The expanded gama is available in over 200 super- and hypermarkets and 54 franchise Carrefour stores across the country.
