MTS specialists analyzed smartphone sales on the Russian market and in its own retail network. Based on the results of the first half of 2024, the company’s analysts recorded high interest among Russians in Chinese flagships. From January to June 2024, sales of Chinese smartphones over 50 thousand rubles in the MTS retail network increased 3.5 times in units and in money.

Sales of Chinese flagship smartphones at MTS are ahead of sales in the entire Russian market. Compared to the first half of 2023 in Russia, sales of Chinese devices over 50 thousand rubles doubled in units and in money to 185 thousand devices worth 13.5 billion rubles.
“The demand for Chinese smartphones is actively growing, and now this is the main trend in the market. For example, the share of sales of Chinese smartphones in Russia is already 81% in units. Particular attention should be paid to flagships – over the past year their number has increased multiple times,” commented Andrey Gubanov, general director of the MTS retail network.
The highest interest in the flagships was recorded in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Naberezhnye Chelny and Krasnodar.
