– Among the receipts from restaurants, we selected universal snacks, dishes and drinks for both regions – comments Antonina Grzelak from the PanParagon application.
The study included products such as: a scoop of ice cream, casserole, Russian dumplings, pork chop, broth, 0.5l beer and black coffee. The analysis included receipts from the period: June 1 – July 23, 2024.
Pork chop is more expensive in the mountains, and casserole on the Baltic Sea
As can be seen from the receipts added to the PanParagon application, in general we will have to pay more for food at the seaside. In the analyzed period, a classic casserole (approx. +2.53 PLN), a portion of Russian dumplings (approx. +1.41 PLN), broth (approx. +0.75 PLN) and a scoop of ice cream (approx. + 0.37). However, cheaper by the sea than in the mountains you could buy a pork chop (approx. -1.70 PLN), a half-liter beer (approx. -0.80 PLN) or black coffee (approx. -0.21 PLN).
In total, for all products included in the study, the bill in the mountains was PLN 2.36 lower. This means that overall price differences are relatively small.

Half a liter of beer in a place in the mountains costs PLN 18, at the seaside – PLN 20. A significant price difference was visible in the case of the casserole.
