The Moscow City Duma is discussing a ban on riding scooters within the Garden Ring and parks, as well as limiting their speed throughout the city to 15 km/h.
In this matter, the capital's deputies are inspired by the experience of St. Petersburg, where, from August 1, parking of rental scooters is prohibited in the Central, Admiralteysky, Vasileostrovsky and Petrogradsky districts.
How this decision will affect the delivery of groceries and food from restaurants is still unclear, but scooters remain a popular mode of transport among couriers, especially in the summer.
