Żabka teaches franchisees how to run a store

The chain provides training needed to run your own business, a fully furnished and stocked store, carefully analyzed for location, as well as marketing and operational support. People who do not have to have previous experience in retail can start working with the chain. Thanks to cooperation with Żabka, over 86% of franchisees achieved at least PLN 27,000 in monthly revenue this year – the company reported.

Foreign entrepreneurs with the support of a large network

Entrepreneurs joining the network can benefit from substantive, service and technological support from the very beginning. The Żabka chain provides innovative solutions, such as the Optiplan program and the Cyberstore application, which enables remote management of the store using a smartphone, including placing orders, generating reports and verifying delivery dates. Franchisees also receive an extensive training package that prepares them to run a store, and they can also participate in a 6-month introductory program, tailored to individual needs.

– Our goal is always mutual success and long-term cooperation with franchisees. That is why we strongly focus on improving competences through training franchisees and their teams, and we also help them develop their business by providing convenient tools to help them effectively manage their stores – emphasizes Przemysław Kijewski.

The network offers franchisees a Business Policy, a unique group insurance policy on the market that, under the terms specified with the insurance company, protects them from various unforeseen situations that may arise while running their own business and ensures financial stability at the end of cooperation.

Frog for foreigners

Żabka Polska actively supports its foreign franchisees by offering a range of initiatives that facilitate their development and integration on the Polish market. On the free website studiumprzedsiebiorczosci.pl, future franchisees from abroad will find a series of lessons called “I understand Polish”, which broadens their language and professional competences, including economic, legal, accounting, innovation and HR issues. Franchisees from abroad also regularly participate in fairs and hold business talks.

Additionally, many of them act as Żabka Ambassadors, representing the chain and sharing their experiences with other potential franchisees. Moreover, Żabka is a partner of meetings for foreigners "Business in the City" – organized by the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Diia.pl, Business Warsaw and the Warsaw City Office.

What are the requirements for people from abroad?

All candidates for Żabka store franchisees who have been in Poland for less than 2 years and do not hold Polish citizenship should present two guarantors who are Polish citizens. Alternatively, it is possible to present one guarantor together with a deposit of PLN 25,000. People who have been in Poland for at least 2 years must present a bill of exchange with one guarantor who is a Polish citizen or the bill of exchange alone and a deposit of PLN 20,000. In such a case, it is also required to present documents confirming legal residence in Poland for the last 24 months, such as a passport with a visa or a Residence Card. Additionally, candidates from outside the EU who do not hold Polish citizenship should provide documents such as a permanent residence permit or a long-term EU resident's residence permit.

Regardless of the country of origin, all candidates are required to make the same initial contribution of around PLN 5,000, register a sole proprietorship, and pass a recruitment test. Foreigners must also achieve at least a B2 level of Polish language proficiency on the test.
