From September 2023 to July 2024, Ukraine exported 653 thousand tons of soybean meal. This is 23% more than last year, reports the Ukrainian agency APK-Inform. Most of the meal sold by Ukraine went to Poland.
The main export destination for Ukrainian soybean meal remains the European Union countries. A total of 88% of the total volume was sent to them. Export to the EU increased year-on-year, in the previous season it was 82%.
The largest recipient of Ukrainian meal remains Poland, which purchased 51% of the total export. In the previous financial year, it was 46% of the total export. As we read, in the 11 months of 2023/24, a record amount of 335 thousand tons was exported to Poland, which is 37% more than in the same period of the previous season.
Analysts in Ukraine predict that the total export of Ukrainian soybean meal in the 2023/24 season will amount to 690 thousand tons. This will not be a historical record, because in the 2018/19 financial year Ukraine exported 746 thousand tons.
