A retail park was opened in Olsztyn. Rossmann, Media Expert and Sinsay on board
The opening was accompanied by the signing of two important license agreements, which enabled Momentum Leisure to combine the well-known Smurfs from Peyo Company with iconic characters from the Nickelodeon series, including: Sponge Bob and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The new characters join the ranks of popular Studio 100 characters such as Maya the Bee and Vicky the Viking.
New license agreements
Momentum Leisure strengthens its intellectual property strategy by launching Majaland Gdańsk and signing long-term agreements with Peyo Company and Nickelodeon. New CEO, Wouter Dekkers, says: “Joining the company in April was like jumping on a fast-paced roller coaster. I am excited and honored to lead the next stage of Majaland in Poland. Our goal is to enrich our parks with fascinating entertainment and attractions for the whole family. I am incredibly happy that Majaland will present our guests the beloved Nickelodeon brand and its characters.”

Further development
Since its inception, Momentum Leisure has viewed Poland as a market driving growth. The opening of the third park fits perfectly into the strategy of becoming a major player in the entertainment industry in Central and Eastern Europe. By acquiring and developing attractive locations and presenting very popular fairy tale characters in its parks, Momentum Leisure was able to secure a significant position in the growing theme park market in Poland.
In April 2024, Momentum Leisure announced partnership and cooperation with Mitiska-REIM in the construction of its fourth theme park, this time in the south of Poland, adjacent to the largest shopping center Mitiska-REIM in Gliwice.
Momentum Leisure and Majaland Gdańsk
Majaland Gdańsk covers an area of 20,000 m² and offers 24 attractions, many of which are located in a covered hall. Located near the historic and popular tourist destination of Gdańsk, the park is a place for families with children. Guests can enjoy cartoons themed around their favorite characters, such as Maya the Bee, The Smurfs, SpongeBob or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The park is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., all year round, with free entry for children under 85 cm tall.
Since 2008, Momentum Leisure has been developing and managing theme parks in Central and Eastern Europe. After Majaland Kownaty (2018) and Majaland Warszawa (2022), Majaland Gdańsk opened its doors in 2024. Momentum Leisure's development strategy includes opening new, thematically diversified parks.
