Weak session of wheat prices on the stock exchanges
After a very good start to the new week of wheat prices on world stock exchanges, prices dropped yesterday. Corn defended itself against the declines and gained nearly one percent. on both sides of the Atlantic.
Corn prices on MATIF are slowly making up for losses
Wheat in the September delivery contract on MATIF fell by 1.4% yesterday. and cost EUR 227.00/t (PLN 983/t), and y/y the prices dropped by 1.8%. The price of corn on the Paris Stock Exchange in the August contract increased by 0.8%. and amounted to EUR 212.00/t (PLN 918/t), and over the last year it decreased by 9.4%.
Wheat on CBoT in the July contract fell by 1.4%. and cost USD 206.31/t. On a y/y basis, the prices fell by 10.7%. The price of corn in the July delivery contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange increased by 0.9%. and amounted to USD 158.26/t, and over the last year it decreased by 27.9%.
