For a week in a hotel in Tenerife in July, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 2,860, and a couple will pay PLN 1,415. In Poland it is twice as expensive – in Mikołajki, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 5,142 for a week in a hotel, and a couple will pay PLN 3,618.
The cheapest accommodation in a 3-star hotel for two people with breakfast included can be found in Egypt – in Marsa Alam, a 7-day stay costs PLN 756. In the same place, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 2,214 for a hotel. Accommodation in lodgings is even cheaper – PLN 402 for a couple and PLN 542 for a family of 2+2 for 7 days.
A 2+2 family will also spend a cheap seven-day holiday in Bulgaria.
A three-star hotel near Sunny Beach with breakfast included costs PLN 2,286, and accommodation costs only PLN 896. A couple going to Sunny Beach will spend PLN 1,312 for the hotel and PLN 996 for the accommodation.
The couple will pay the most for a week's hotel stay on the Costa Brava, PLN 2,573. A 2+2 family will also spend the most on accommodation in this place – PLN 4,210 for 7 days. The Spanish coast also has the highest prices in private accommodation – PLN 2,221 for a family and PLN 2,042 for a couple.
Accommodation in Poland
A 2+2 family has to pay the most for seven days of vacation in Mrągowo, i.e. PLN 7,260. It is slightly cheaper in Solina – PLN 6,480, and in third place is Szczyrk, where you will have to pay PLN 5,345 for an overnight stay in a hotel with breakfast included. It is cheaper than in hotels in private accommodation, because in every Polish town we check, a 2+2 family should find accommodation for 7 days for about PLN 1,500. Międzyzdroje is more expensive, where the cheapest accommodation costs PLN 2,148.
A couple going on holiday will pay the most for a hotel in Mikołajki, i.e. PLN 3,618. In second place is Solina (PLN 3,240 for 7 days), and in third place is Mrągowo (PLN 3,060 for 7 days). You can save by choosing private accommodation – PLN 1,350 in Mikołajki, PLN 1,412 in Solina and PLN 984 in Mrągowo. In Zakopane – a couple will pay PLN 2,213 for a hotel for 7 days. However, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 3,780 for 7 days for a hotel in the mountains, but it is still almost PLN 1,000 more than, for example, a hotel in Tenerife.
When deciding to independently purchase an airline ticket at a regular price for a flight to the cheapest hotel in Marsa Alam, a 2+2 family will spend a total of PLN 5,864. But to Turkey it is much less, PLN 2,117 for all return travelers.
By car from Warsaw, the longest journey to Międzyzdroje is 12 hours and 42 minutes round-trip. For such a route, a 2+2 family will pay PLN 679. The fastest way from Warsaw is to get to Mikołajki in 3 hours and 10 minutes – the fuel cost for a family is PLN 263 and for a couple PLN 150.
Food costs money too
The cheapest dinner in Poland can be eaten in Solina, where one person will pay PLN 59 for the meal. The most expensive dinners are in Zakopane restaurants, where a two-course dish costs PLN 93 for one person.

Abroad, the cheapest place is Marsa Alam in Egypt, where you can eat a large dinner for up to PLN 36, and the most expensive is in Sardinia – PLN 108 per person.
The cheapest ice cream is in Turkey, where you pay only PLN 2.4 per scoop. The most expensive ice cream is on the Costa Brava in Spain – PLN 12.22 per scoop. In Poland, the average price of a scoop of ice cream in 2024 is PLN 6.53 – it increased from PLN 5.17 in 2022, i.e. by 26%.
