Metro has announced its results for the third quarter of the 2023/24 financial year (October 2023 – March 2024).

Metro Russia's sales in the period grew by 13% in local currencies. Adjusted EBITDA in Russia increased to EUR 42 million (Q3 2022/23: EUR 37 million); adjusted EBITDA taking into account exchange rates increased by EUR 8 million.
"Metro Russia is developing its business in both B2C and B2B directions. Both channels are showing growth, thanks to the wholesale sales strategy," the network's press service reported.
The company continued its positive sales dynamics in the third quarter of 2023/24. Adjusted for currency and portfolio effects, sales increased by 4.4%, in local currencies by 3.4%. All sales channels contributed to sales growth, with FSD and e-commerce again showing the strongest growth. Adjusted EBITDA reached €327 million, roughly in line with the prior-year level (Q3 2022/23: €332 million).
