According to the marketplace, in 2024, a fisherman's basic kit includes a fishing rod, a gaff, a spoon, a hook, a sinker, a line, a reel, a float, a wobbler, a jig, a feeder, scales for the catch, a fish keepnet and a can. The average cost of such a kit is 14,318 rubles. The most expensive attributes are fishing rods and fishing reels – on average, they cost fishermen 3 and 2.5 thousand rubles, respectively.
The average bill has increased in certain categories of fishing goods. Thus, in 2024, Russians spend 30% more on water transport than last year. Experts attribute this to the expansion of the customer basket – fishermen buy additional equipment for the boats themselves: motors, spotlights, pumps and repair kits. Demand for them in March-July 2024 increased 4 times compared to the same period last year.
Fishing mainly attracts Russians aged 35 to 44. The main fans of this pastime are still men.
Fishing equipment is most actively purchased in Moscow, Moscow Region and St. Petersburg. The top 5 in terms of the number of goods sold is closed by the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Tatarstan.
