McDonald’s set to tap the North East, enters Gangtok with new restaurant

McDonald’s has expanded their retail journey into the North East with their new restaurant at West Point Mall with an area of 2240 sq. ft. and a seating capacity of 116. The brand says it intends to deliver an international experience in the region with affordable and high-quality food.

Announcing the restaurant launch, Rajeev Ranjan, Managing Director, McDonald’s India – North and East, says, “We are excited to bring the McDonald’s experience to Gangtok, a vibrant and rapidly growing city in Sikkim. Our presence here is a step towards making the world-class McDonald’s experience accessible to the people of Gangtok and part of our expansion plans in the Northeast region. We believe that McDonald’s, with a wide range of menus across dayparts and a superlative restaurant experience, will be able to delight the residents of Gangtok. We extend a warm welcome to our customers here.”

The space features a contemporary look and feel with globally inspired décor, furniture, and exterior design. It also features self-ordering digital kiosks for convenient ordering, table service to streamline the dining experience, and guest experience leaders to assist customers.

As part of ongoing efforts to prioritize customer satisfaction and convenience, the new McDonald’s store in Gangtok will offer various ordering options, including dine-in and takeaway services.
