Used since 1997, Mazda's logo is a stylized image of wings, symbolizing its commitment to "constant change and continuous growth." The main idea remained unchanged, and the logo itself went from three-dimensional to two-dimensional with clearer lines and without shadows. The metallic effect also disappeared, replaced by a smooth black color fill.

Mazda Motor Corporation registered the updated logo in Japan on July 22, 2024. Market participants believe that the new design could become part of a global rebranding. It is currently unknown whether the new logo will be used as an emblem on the company's cars, or whether it is created solely for corporate purposes.

Previously, another Mazda competitor, the Korean company Kia, carried out a serious rebranding. In 2021, Kia unveiled a new logo but faced significant criticism due to the stylization of the letters I and A, which appeared to merge into the letter N.
