According to Martin Talts, Chairman of the Board of the Estonian Wooden House Manufacturers' Union, the situation in the wooden house industry may have improved somewhat, but it is definitely not possible to talk about the current year as a year of recovery, writes dv.ee.
“If we compare the situation with six months or a year ago, the situation is improving a little, but we cannot say that the markets have recovered or that the situation is good,” he said.
Talts explained that just as recessions in the construction industry do not happen overnight, recovery takes a long period.
Although recovery takes time, there are signs of improvement. Some factories have received new orders this year, and projects that had been suspended have been brought out of hibernation, the entrepreneur said, adding that production and invoicing still take a long time.
