Mango to open second Oxford Street flagship amid global expansion

Mango has signed a new UK flagship store at 415-419 Oxford Street, London as it accelerates its expansion plans.

The store, which spans circa 17,000 sq ft over ground, basement and first floors, marks the second Oxford Street location for the Spanish fashion retailer.

Last year, Mango announced more than 20 store openings for 2024, including four stores in London. This is in line with the retailer’s 2024-2026 strategic plan, called the 4E Plan, with the aim of exceeding £3.4bn global sales in 2026.

Its global expansion plans also include more than twenty stores in the US for 2025. The retailer’s expansion ambitions follow its strongest-ever first half sales last year, pulling in £1.3bn (€1.54bn) in the six months to June 2024.

Savills co-head of global retail Sam Foyle said: “Mango committing to a second site on one of the world’s most iconic high streets, and breathing life back into this unit, highlights the confidence that retailers have in London.

“Today’s deal is yet another example of the levels of demand for space on this renowned shopping destination, with our most recent research showing vacancy rates on Oxford Street at just 2.7% – the lowest level since Q2 2019.”

In recent months, Mango has enjoyed a boom in sales and profits. It attributed its performance to the positive reception of its collections and value proposition, having launched various new capsule collections, such as its collaboration with Victoria Beckham and Italian designer Boglioli for its men’s line.
