The Hawaii Express bike shop in the Uku shopping centre opened for the last time on Wednesday, as due to a series of circumstances, the Viljandi operation was closed .
"One of the reasons is the difficult economic situation," said Hawaii Express CEO Rene Kuusing. "Secondly, both the store manager and the sales specialist expressed a desire to leave. So the moment came when we decided to close the store in Viljandi."
Kuusing noted that if everything went well from a commercial point of view, the Hawaii Express chain of stores would hire new workers in Viljandi and continue doing business there.
