Majestic Wine has identified 125 potential new store sites across England, Scotland, Wales and the Channel Islands, as it aims to open an average of one new shop per month.
The move comes as the wine chain pushes forward with its investment into experiential bricks-and-mortar retail, as it seeks to attract new shoppers, drive sales and win market share.
Majestic has identified almost 30 locations in Central London where it could launch smaller format sites, following the success of its ‘mini Majestic’ concepts in Harpenden, Crouch End and Marlow, which opened during its 2023/24 financial year.
Additionally, 14 areas within the M25 have been earmarked by the brand, as well as 13 locations in the Midlands, seven in the North of England and Scotland, and three in Wales.
Furthermore, Majestic is considering opening a debut store in Guernsey, two months after launching its first Channel Islands store in Jersey.

The wine retailer has headroom to open around 50 new stores in total.
Majestic has appointed Jackson Criss as its fully retained property agent to help accelerate its store expansion plans, with the property investment company set to advise on its new store acquisitions and estate strategy.
