The first electric charging station appeared near the Magnit Extra store, located at Krasnodar, 40th Anniversary of Pobedy Street, 174. The power of the station is 150 kW. It can simultaneously service up to three electric vehicles.

As part of the pilot, the company plans to install several more electric charging stations near its large-format stores in the Moscow and Leningrad regions, Rostov-on-Don, in the federal territory of Sirius (Krasnodar Territory) and in other localities.

The supplier of electricity for the charging stations will be Magnit Energo, one of the largest independent energy sales companies in Russia, part of the Magnit group of companies. Magnit Energo provides electricity supplies to retailer facilities, including stores, as well as other companies – both small enterprises and representatives of large businesses.

“We are actively growing, looking for new niches for development, and the creation of electric charging infrastructure near retail stores could become a new promising direction for us. Increasingly, electric cars can be seen on the roads of large cities, and we can offer their owners an additional service by installing charging stations near stores. Magnit employees, among whom there are also owners of cars with electric motors, will also be able to take part in the testing. The first electric charging station opened near the Magnit Extra store in Krasnodar. In the coming months, we will open several more pilot stations near stores – primarily in regions where electric vehicles occupy a relatively significant share,” said Svetlana Belyanicheva, General Director of MagnitEnergo.
