Magnit is accelerating the development of the Magnit Pharmacy chain. On Friday, August 2, the company opened its thousandth Magnit Pharmacy location.

The “Yubileinaya” pharmacy is located next to the “Magnit Extra” superstore in Sochi at the address: Vinogradny Lane, 2. In total, in 2024, “Magnit Pharmacy” will grow by approximately 200 new retail outlets. In 2023, about one hundred new pharmacies were opened.
As the press service of the chain said, in order to systematize the approach to opening new facilities, the Magnit Pharmacy team developed an “offer map” – a set of criteria that helps determine the correct location, set of services and build an assortment matrix for each new pharmacy.
For example, the assortment of pharmacies varies depending on the location: in the “Magnit Pharmacy” in a residential area there will be more cosmetics and other non-medicinal products on the shelves in order to cover the residents’ need for non-food items of daily demand. Pharmacies located in high-traffic locations have expanded their offerings of popular medications.
This year, Magnit Pharmacy began testing a new concept of retail outlets, which was presented in January. The pilot project currently covers several pharmacies. All new pharmacies will open in accordance with the new concept. It provides for a laconic and convenient zoning of retail space, contemporary design and modern lighting solutions, as well as additional services for consumers and tools for developing an omnichannel shopping experience.
Magnit opened the first pilot pharmacies in Krasnodar in 2017.
