Bus passenger carrier Lux Express has started commercial passenger services on the route between the center of Riga and the airport from today, LETA reports with reference to the company. Services are provided by Iveco Daily Fergui minibuses, accommodating up to 24 passengers. Every day there will be 18 flights from the center of Riga to the airport with stops at the Riga International Bus Station, Station Square, the Esplanade and the National Theatre, Kipsala, the State Archives, Lielirbes Street (Ventas Street stop) and the airport. In the direction from the airport to the city center there will be 21 flights with stops at Riga Airport, on Lielirbes Street (stop "Kauguru Street"), at the State Archives, on Kipsala, on Siegfried Anna Meyerovica Boulevard, on the Esplanade, at the Central Railway Station and Riga International Bus Station. Departure times are planned to meet passenger demand throughout the day, especially during peak hours. Travel time from the center of Riga to the airport is 35 minutes. The cost of a ticket on this route is 8 euros, and for children and teenagers up to 16 years old inclusive – 6 euros. In case of cancellation or postponement of departure, tickets purchased for the route to the airport can be exchanged or refunded. Tickets can be purchased on the company's website, at the Riga Airport Visitor Center "E" in the arrivals hall, as well as from bus drivers and at the Lux Express sales office at the Riga International Bus Station. Tickets can also be purchased through GooglePay and ApplePay on the company's website.
