By 8 February Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania will disconnect their electricity from BRELL and join the system of continental Europe. The disconnection could require additional investment in in infrastructure and searching for new sources of energy, which, in turn, will affect the final price for consumers. Experts noted that the transition to alternative systems could be complicated, but is necessary to ensure energy independence of the Baltic>countries.
