The largest multiformat Russian chain Lenta continues to adapt the assortment to the needs of customers. The company’s analysts noted that the number of customers who in the last four months of 2024 year purchased cheese with mold, has increased by 34%.

The Company’s experts researched trends in the market and the opinion of customers to adapt the variety of cheese to their needs. In the last four four months 2024 of the year 46 new names appeared on the store shelves.

Separate attention to specialists company have given development category with high loyalty to certain products: cheese with mold, mozzarella and buratta. After the introduction of new positions the number of customers who purchased cheese with mold in September-December of the last year, increased by 34%. 53% of them are attracted customers who have previously tried cheese with mold and other varieties of cheese. More 17% are new customers. And the number of customers who come to the hypermarkets for mozzarella and buratta, has increased by 25%.

Lenta also improved navigation in categories, so it would be easier to find popular positions on shelves. In result the growth of penetration was 3.5 percentage points. In future the company will continue to expand the assortment, focusing on feedback from customers.
