"Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania are facing similar problems in finding funds to cover growing military spending and debt servicing. Inflation has increased pressure on public spending, especially after the significant budget deficits that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic," said Martins Abolins, an economist at Citadele Bank.
