Siamco Invest, a company owned by major shareholders of the industrial concern BLRT, has won the auction for the sale of the Ministry of Defense building, which was sold for almost 1.3 million euros, and will become the new owner of the building after the contract is signed, dv.ee writes.The Ministry of Defense building, located in the center of Tallinn at Narva highway 8, has been auctioned four times already. The last result of the auction was approved by the order of the Minister of Defense Hanno Pevkur – the winner was Siamco Invest, the sale agreement with which has not been signed yet.
The owners of Siamco Invest are the largest shareholders of BLRT – Mark and Igor Berman. Fyodor Berman, a board member of BLRT Grupp, is Mark’s father and Igor’s brother.
The starting price of the building was 800,000 euros, but Siamco Invest’s winning bid amounted to almost 1.29 million euros.
