Komandor opened a new distribution center in Irkutsk

A new distribution center with an area of 10,000 square meters opened in Irkutsk on July 9. m. of the Siberian retail chain "Commander".

The facility will supply food products to 62 stores in the Irkutsk region. The new center has become another facility in the company’s warehouse complex, which includes two distribution centers for storing grocery products and deep-frozen goods with a total area of 23,000 sq. m. m, a warehouse for storing fruits and vegetables with an area of over 3700 sq. m, a site with a logistics operator of 10,000 sq. m. m in Krasnoyarsk, as well as cross-docking terminals in Angarsk and Abakan.

The warehouse in Irkutsk is designed for storing grocery products (cereals, salt, sugar, flour, canned food, confectionery), fish, cheese, meat products, vegetables, fruits, manufactured goods. Every month it will process more than 8,000 tons of products from suppliers from Russia and other countries. It has 9 gates for shipping and receiving goods, which indicates its good throughput.

Currently the company manages 452 stores “Komandor”, “Alleya”, “Khoroshiy”, 62 of which are located in the Irkutsk region. But this is just the beginning. We will expand our presence in this region. By the end of the year, about 10 company stores will open in the Irkutsk region,” said Helmar Schernek, general director of the Komandor company.
