– France is our largest European market after Poland. We have a strong brand here, a dense network of pickup and drop-off points and many e-commerce partners. We see the increasing popularity of out-of-home deliveries in European countries, which is why we are constantly developing our infrastructure and introducing new services – such as autonomous parcel locker devices. Our mobile application is one of the most important elements of competitive advantage – in Poland we have over 12.6 million users of our application in which we offer revolutionary functionalities – said Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost.
New trends on the retail market, new habits and customer expectations
– Online shopping and deliveries away from home are increasingly chosen by the French. We see new trends on the retail market, new customer habits and expectations. These phenomena are a great challenge for business – especially in the e-commerce and logistics sectors. InPost together with Mondial Relay are setting new goals in these segments in France. We are aware that only the latest and intuitive technologies will gain users' recognition. That's why we rely on our mobile application, which facilitates the collection and sending of parcels – comments Quentin Benault, managing director of Mondial Relay France and Benelux.
InPost has also launched international deliveries as part of the Mondial Relay market – thanks to which customers can send and receive international parcels. Currently, the service is available for online stores, but will soon be extended to retail customers. The crossborder service is available between France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and the Benelux countries.
The InPost Mobile application is also popular in Poland, where the number of its users has already exceeded 12.6 million. Thanks to its innovative functionalities, the application not only facilitates the receipt and sending of parcels, but also enables real-time tracking of parcels, management of returns and the use of automatic notifications about the status of the parcel. The InPost Group is intensively developing its infrastructure by introducing new services and technologies that are intended to further improve logistics processes and increase customer convenience.
InPost introduces a new model of the Paczkomat machine
In addition, InPost is introducing a new model of the Paczkomat machine – the autonomous device can be activated regardless of the availability of the electricity network, all thanks to the machines being equipped with photovoltaic panels and energy storage. The pilot is being carried out in Poland and on European markets – in Great Britain, Italy and France.
At the end of the first quarter of 2024, the InPost Group had over 69,000 out-of-home points, including over 37,000 modern Paczkomat devices and nearly 32,000 PUDO points in 9 countries, which enable convenient sending and receiving of parcels 24/7.
