On July 9, Indexo Bank joined the unified payment system SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area), which provides the ability to make payments in Eurocurrency. This is an important step to begin the full operation of the bank, the company noted. Let us remind you that the new bank plans to start serving clients this summer. Members of the bank’s development team are already clients of Indexo Bank and are conducting tests of real payments in euros. Joining the SEPA payment system means that the bank now not only has the right to send Europayments to any bank in the system, but is also obliged to accept or correctly reject Europayments to any account opened with Indexo Bank. “We are now carrying out the final work that Indexo Bank began operating this summer. You can already make and receive payments in the bank, banking systems are ready, a mobile application has been developed. In the near future we will also join the payment card system. Very soon we will announce the first working day of the new bank,” says Valdis Siksnis, one of the founders of Indexo and chairman of the board of the new Indexo Bank. As reported, on May 15, the European Central Bank issued Indexo banka a license to operate as a credit institution. Indexo banka will offer daily banking services, issue payment cards, loans and accept deposits. At first, the services will be available only to individuals, later also to businesses.
