The solution is based on the use of the functionality of devices that Medicine salon employees use on a daily basis, and is used to order goods that are not available in a given store. The NFC functionality of Zebra devices integrated with the Worldline application allows customers to pay contactlessly to a salon employee, anywhere in the store – at the hanger or in the cloakroom. The paid goods are then delivered to the customer's home.
New facilities for Medicine customers
– Both the store and the customer will benefit from this solution. For example, if the store runs out of a specific size or color of a given product, the staff will order it efficiently. The customer will quickly, conveniently, and above all safely settle the payment, and will receive an electronic receipt to the specified email address. This functionality will significantly streamline the entire process of ordering products for our customers and will be another important stage in implementing the omnichannel strategy – says Maciej Stępień, Director of E-commerce Medicine.
By integrating Medicine and Worldline tools, they have combined two worlds – ordering goods online using a device owned by a Medicine employee and making contactless payments in the store by the customer.

Interestingly, Poles have broken another record in contactless payments. The National Bank of Poland reports that the share of contactless payments in the total number of non-cash payments in POS terminals in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached a historically high level of 99.5%. This means that in stores, customers now pay practically exclusively by contactless.
