According to the SDEK report, in the first half of the year, the largest volume of parcels (39%) was delivered from Moscow. The top 5 cities-senders also included St. Petersburg (8%), Novosibirsk (2%), Yekaterinburg (2%) and Krasnodar (2%). The company did not provide separate data for the second quarter, which was the site of a large-scale failure of IT systems, due to which the acceptance and delivery of parcels was suspended (at the end of May).
More than half of the shipments (55%) were express delivery from online stores of goods weighing up to 30 kg. In second place (13%) was fast delivery of documents and cargo without weight and size restrictions, in third place (8%) were ground shipments from online stores up to 50 kg.
The share of international delivery from online stores to individuals amounted to 6% of the total number of shipments, the number of orders in this category increased by 31% over the year. In the first half of 2024, more than 1.3 million orders were sent to Russia from abroad, and 784 thousand parcels from the Russian Federation abroad.
