Licensed hunting
As reported on the Internet by industry magazine “Svensk Jakt”, in the tour annual hunting for wolves in Sweden, the first wolves were killed on hunting fields in the provinces Örebro and Västmanland.
One of the main objectives of strictly regulated and controlled licensed hunting of protected animals is to reduce the density of milk territories in Sweden and concentration of milk there, where it is the largest. In addition to licensed hunting, in individual cases it is possible also to hunt protectively, for the purpose of protecting reindeer from threatening attacks.
According to data from the Swedish Nature Protection Agency (Naturvårdsverket) last
in Scandinavia there were about 440 wolves, of which about 375 in Sweden.
