IKEA responds to Lidl's taunt
The Swedish home furnishings retailer reacted quickly: it immediately reduced the prices of the presented products significantly below the supposedly unbeatable level of Lidl. Information about the promotions was placed in a visible place on the website and included the slogan "A Lidl bit günstiger" (a word play on a little bit – "a little bit cheaper" – editor's note).
This is not the first time Lidl has dared to make explicit comparisons: a few weeks ago, the discounter compared some of its products with Action products, but then the message was that Lidl offers better quality at the same price – reports retaildetaileu according to "Lebensmittel Zeitung".
