Harvey Nichols has revealed its 2024 Christmas windows inspired by the fantastical aesthetic of Tim Burton.

The department store has partnered with the Design Museum to showcase five sculptures from the director’s private collection ahead of its new exhibition, The World of Tim Burton.

The pieces from The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories take centre stage in the Knightsbridge retailer’s festive windows, introducing a “playful yet eerie whimsy” layer to the display.

The remaining windows, which reimagine Burton’s iconic aesthetic through the lens of festive luxury transport viewers into a surreal landscape of twisted, eerie trees, with each window narrating its own unique story.

Harvey Nichols, which has stores in Leeds, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and Dublin, said its regional locations will replicate the scheme to bring a touch of Burton’s brilliance to Harvey Nichols locations across the country.
