Jurmala Municipality will participate in the Competition of projects with an application “Revitalization of Kemeri by renewing the drainage system and collection of rainwater and creating a multifunctional center of natural tourism”. The total cost of the project reaches 25 million euros, reports the agency LETA.The goal of the project is the rehabilitation of the reclamation of the reclamation system and the rainwater collection system in Kemeri, and also revitalize part of the degraded Kemeri territory by
investing in improving public infrastructure. The Jurmala Municipality believes that “revitalization” of the degrading territory
will encourage development of economic activity and the tourist offer. If the project will be supported in the competition, then the Kemeri will result in its implementation will restore the system of drainage and collection of rain water. Also
will be built public building a multifunctional and interactive natural tourism object at address Emila Darzinya Street, 28. The project project is to create public infrastructure for supporting the operation of the new building, including the creation of new engineering networks
and video surveillance systems, pedestrian and bicycle paths, parking spaces. The new facility will have exhibition halls and
create a permanent exhibit. If the project is approved it should be implemented from July July 2025 year to June 2028 year. The total planned cost of the municipal project is 25 million European Investment Bank for 50% (12.5 million euros),
financingfromtheEUprogram-12.5%(3.12millioneuros)andfinancingfromtheJurmalamunicipality-37.5%(9.37millioneuros).
