- In the latest part of this collection, two products appear in the foreground that customers talk about with great sentiment – these are KLIPPAN sofas and POÄNG armchairs, which enjoy unflagging popularity all over the world.
- They were designed and refreshed for the Nytillverkad collection by Japanese designer Noboru Nakamura.
Back to the roots – less is more
The KLIPPAN sofa has been a symbol of Scandinavian design for years, combining simplicity, functionality and elegance. IKEA customers first got to know it in 1980 and over time it became more and more popular. Nakamura's prototype for the design was the LAPPMON sofa, from which he removed everything he considered unnecessary. At the stage of creation, he also took into account practicality – with rounded edges, it was intended to be an element of decor for families with small children.
Soft, quilted covers are not only a hallmark, but also something that has been attracting attention for years. In the new edition of the Nytillverkad collection, they are available in three bright colors. KLIPPAN remains the choice for people who value comfort and timeless style. Its advantage is also durability – durable metal seat springs provide comfort, so you can sit, rest and enjoy it for many years. Moreover, it has a 10-year warranty.
What is new and at the same time an element of surprise is the fact that KLIPPAN sofa covers are currently sold in comfortable fabric bags in the same color – red, blue and yellow.
An icon of comfort and social life
The second iconic product is the timeless POÄNG armchair. This is one of the most recognizable IKEA products, known for its unique design and exceptional comfort. Its premiere took place in 1977 and then it hit stores under the name POEM and was an immediate success. Over the years, POÄNG armchairs, as they have been known since 1992, have taken on various forms – you could rock and turn on them or straighten your legs on the footrest. Always with stylishly rounded curved wood lines that provide pleasant neck support and comfortable flexibility. There was also a smaller version available for children.

In the 5th edition of the Nytillverkad collection, the POÄNG armchair returns in a slightly reduced version with a low backrest. It appeared in new colors and refreshed covers. The solid construction and ergonomic shapes of the POÄNG armchair ensure relaxation and comfort every day. A POÄNG footstool is also available. All these items are covered by a 10-year warranty.
The fifth edition of the Nytillverkad collection consists of 12 articles. The line has been available for sale since August.
