A reader contacted the Delfi editorial office who bought a monthly parking pass through Mobilly and came to park, but there were no spaces. The operator told the woman that this is normal practice, since the parking lot is considered open – in this case, no one guarantees that there will be a place. How is this possible? Why sell a monthly membership if there is no guarantee that there will be a place? What is "outdoor parking"? And what does Mobilly, through which the payment was made, say? The parking situation in the courtyards of Riga microdistricts is as it is. For example, sometimes I have to park even in a neighboring area. I'm not whining. I'm not one of those people who needs it right at the entrance. But that day it was raining, I was tired, and there were heavy bags of groceries in the car. I pulled into the paid parking lot in the yard, deciding to leave the car here for the night. I went to Mobilly to pay and was surprised to find that this parking lot sold a 30-day subscription. Costs 30 euros. Great, I thought and completed it. True, I was a little confused – how does the operator calculate how many cars can park here, because the spaces are not delimited. “Well, they probably regulate this moment somehow,” I thought and went home. My joy from parking in the yard was short-lived.
I bought a monthly parking pass and when I arrived, there were no spaces. How can this be and what should be done?
