Now, however, the Olympics are back in full swing, Kantar sees in research, with Paris 2024 being the biggest global sporting event since the 2016 Rio Games. More than just about sports, the Games are also about culture, community and entertainment – and that presents huge opportunities for brands.
There are more ways than ever to reach consumers this year. Official sponsorship (accounting for 1 billion dollars in revenue) is of course the best way to impress, but the Olympic Committee has also relaxed the rules for other brands.
