Head of Customer Service at Tele2 Kadi Hoffarth notes that many customers forget to pay their bills on time. "This is understandable. At the beginning of the month, you have to pay for electricity, utilities, internet, mobile communications and other services. It's easy to get confused, and a bill can get lost among the many emails. In such cases, we always meet our customers halfway and send reminders that help to successfully resolve the problem," explains Hoffarth.
Set aside one evening to pay all your bills.
Instead of stressing over unpaid bills every day, it’s better to set aside one evening at the beginning of the month and close all your payments at once. Not only will this save you time and stress, but it will also allow you to calmly plan your budget for the entire month. It’s also useful to make a list of all your bills so you don’t miss any. This list should also include automatic payments, such as Netflix or Spotify subscriptions. Even if the amounts are small, it’s important to keep them in sight to better control your finances.
Set up auto payments
Most companies now send electronic invoices, so setting up autopayment has become very easy. The system will automatically pay the invoices as soon as they arrive in the online bank. If you do not want to use autopayment, you can pay the invoice manually, but this is also convenient – the payment data is already filled in, and you only need to confirm the transaction. But do not forget that if the invoice amount changes, you will need to update the autopayment settings.
Simplify your payments
The fewer bills, the easier it is to keep track of them. For example, if you use TV, Internet and mobile communications from different providers, the number of bills increases threefold. This is not only inconvenient, but also more expensive – many companies offer great discounts when ordering several services at once.
Use reminder apps
You don’t have to remember everything yourself. Just like Facebook reminds you of birthdays, special apps like Mint or Wally can help you keep track of your budget. They send reminders when payment deadlines are approaching, and also allow you to track your current expenses and analyze where you can save.
By following these simple tips, you can manage your financial obligations easily and stress-free while maintaining control over your spending.
