According to data GUS in the last 20years the areal of corn for grain increased by 3 times from about 412 thousand ha in 2004 to over 1.25 million ha in 2023 years. When add to this corn cultivated for green the area increases even more. In 2004 year there was that about 222 thousand ha, while
in 2023 year. cultivated corn for silage there were already nearly
620 tys. ha. Total gives us that nearly 1.9 million ha areal planted with corn.

Under in terms of occupied areal under currency for grain Poland holds the 3rd place in the
European Union and behind Romania and France with share at 15,03%. On the other hand, under the
magnitude of production we are in the 2 place behind France with
a share of 16.66% of EU produced currency for grain.
