Lidl must secure meat supplies to the German domestic market. Meat plants belonging to the sister banner Kaufland will start supplying the discount store with some of its self-service products. Schwarz Produktion, the manufacturing division of Schwarz Group, Lidl's parent company, is expanding its production capacity through strategic acquisitions.
