He scammed seniors into adjusting windows with dishwashing liquid

He went from house to house and ripped off elderly people to renovate their windows and doors. He assured them that he would breathe new life into the joinery fittings, but instead he would just spray the hinges with dishwashing liquid. For a few minutes of service he would charge 900 or even 1100 PLN.

The police were alerted by a man whose mother had fallen victim to a fraudster. The elderly lady paid him 900 złoty. The woman's son showed the police a photo of the man who had been in her apartment. In a short time, the police received notifications from three more clients of the renovator.

Thanks to a photo from the monitoring, the police officers on patrol recognized and detained the fraudster. The 45-year-old claimed that he had not defrauded anyone, because he had presented his offer to the clients, which they accepted. The man has already been charged with fraud. He faces a sentence of up to 8 years in prison.
