Marek Sawa is an experienced entrepreneur who joined the Musketeer Group after 18 years of running his own business. He began his adventure as a Bricomarché franchisee in 2009, when he and his wife Violetta took over a sales point in Lubań. In 2018, he expanded his business by taking over a supermarket in Głogów, and in March this year he opened a third store in Lubin. In 2022, the entrepreneur received the TOP Franchisee award in the Brand Ambassador category granted by the Polish Franchise Organization.
Franchisee takes over at Bricomarché
For many years, Marek Sawa has been actively involved in the development of the network as part of the Musketeer Group's participatory model, which enables associated entrepreneurs to perform key functions in its structures. In the past, he was, among others, a team member in the Franchise Department, which is responsible for recruitment, training and integration of future entrepreneurs. In 2020, he became the head of this Department, and then also supervised corporate communication activities. In February this year, he joined the Management Board of the Musketeer Group in Poland. Now, in his new role, Marek Sawa will be responsible for building and implementing the chain's commercial strategy throughout the country.
– I am extremely proud of the opportunity to take over the position of President of Bricomarché in Poland and to continue the work of my predecessor. Recent years have been a period of dynamic development for us, during which we have increased our market share. However, as a chain, we are constantly striving for the goal of gaining the third position among DIY stores in the country. This is a huge challenge, but I believe that we will manage to achieve it and I am glad that in my new role I will be able to contribute to its implementation – says Marek Sawa, President of Bricomarché in Poland.
The Musketeer Group is an association of nearly 500 Polish entrepreneurs managing Intermarché grocery supermarkets and Bricomarché home and garden supermarkets. In 2023, the Musketeer Group's turnover amounted to PLN 10.3 billion. The strategic directions of both chains are set by ITM Polska.
